William Kihula

Deputy CEO, Head of Research and Statistics

William Mgaya Kihula holds a BSc (Mathematics and Statistics) and diploma in Computer Applications and Programming.  He has over fifteen years (15) working experience as a senior statistics consultant responsible for statistical operations and data processing. Specifically, he is responsible for designing and implementing multi-scale and complex data collection, data processing and analysis activities.

His most recent project is the RTI International support to the administration of a national Tanzanian baseline, midline and endline in reading, writing, and numeracy using the Early Grade Reading Assessment (EGRA), Early Grade Mathematics Assessment (EGMA), and the Snapshot of School Management Effectiveness (SSME). William advised on the overall operational and technical strategy, paperless data collection and the evaluation of the raw data assuring the project was undertaken successfully.

William was also the Operational Leader for the X-PRIZE project which uses Innovative Technology to strengthen education in Tanzania. He led the team to implement the baseline data collection.

Recently, William has been managing large scale projects which cut across all the service lines to come up with a solution that can make lives easier and make the world a better place for groups of people who have been left behind by technology.
