DataVision International also excels in Agricultural research, with a focus on ensuring food security. Agricultural research is fundamental in bolstering agricultural productivity and safeguarding food availability. Our commitment is evidenced by our ongoing engagement in both qualitative and quantitative research initiatives within the agricultural sector. Notably, we conduct comprehensive key informant interviews with agricultural leaders, contributing to policy enhancements and promoting behavioral changes among farmers in the Tanzanian community, thereby fortifying food security efforts.

KOICA through World Food Programme (2024)

Annual household survey of the Programme KILIMO TIJA KIGOMA (KITIKI) – Strengthening Smallholder’s Agriculture Value Chain, Gender Equality and Peace in Refugee Hosting Districts

KILIMO TIGA KIGOMA (KITIKI), launched in March 2023 by WFP with KOICA funding and partners World Vision Tanzania and Good Neighbors Tanzania, supports the Tanzanian government in advancing Zero Hunger, gender equality, and peace in refugee-hosting districts. Targeting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2, 5, 13, and 16, the project improves food security, fosters social cohesion, and empowers smallholder farmers. DataVision contributed by conducting an Annual Household Survey across four LGAs in Kigoma (Kasulu DC, Kasulu TC, Kakonko DC, Kibondo DC) and in the Nduta and Nyarugusu refugee camps. Using quantitative and qualitative methods, they engaged 400 households through surveys, facilitated focus group discussions, and conducted key informant interviews to evaluate and guide project outcomes.

Baseline for the VIJANA KILIMO BIASHARA (VKB) Programme

The WFP Tanzania, through the VKB project, is dedicated to enhancing youth employment in rural areas by fostering entrepreneurial skills in agriculture, with a specific focus on youth. The primary objectives of the baseline assessment include gathering data on current initiatives aimed at reducing post-harvest losses and enhancing crop quality for targeted crops, assessing access to markets, identifying opportunities for youth within value chains and job creation, and evaluating the status of marginalized groups within agricultural value chains.

Analysis the Foundation’s priorities

AidData contracted DataVision to undertake in-depth qualitative interviews with High Government leaders in three sector Health, Finance and Agricultural. The aim was to analysis the Foundation’s priority issues, countries, and questions. This analysis leveraged three “tiers” of data collected, as well as existing covariates: (1) data collected from leaders in 126 low- and middle-income countries; (2) the subset of data collected from the Foundation’s priority countries; and (3) data collected in three countries via key informant interviews and an in-person snap poll.

Provision of Consultancy Services for Qualitative Research for “Results Data Initiative Tanzania”.

DataVision conducted in-depth, semi-structured qualitative interviews with key stakeholders from government and donor organizations within the agricultural and health sectors. Our objective was to meticulously evaluate the efficacy of country-level results data collection systems and processes. Through this comprehensive assessment, we aimed to pinpoint areas for enhancement, with a focus on elevating both the quality and utility of results data within the vital domains of health and agriculture.
